Honorable Members
At Paleo Club UU, we like to take a moment to recognize members who have gone the extra mile for our community. Whether through helping organize events, contributing creative skills, or helping shape the identity of the club, these members have made a lasting contribution to what Paleo Club UU is today.
Founders
Edgar Mulder & Shirin Rahman
Edgar Mulder and Shirin Rahman founded Paleo Club UU in 2024 with the idea of creating a space where students and researchers could come together to explore paleontology, regardless of their academic background.
Their aim was to give paleontology more visibility within the university and to create a community where people could share their enthusiasm for the subject, exchange ideas, and learn from one another.
Paleo Club UU has since grown into a student-run community open to everyone associated with Utrecht University.

The creator of our logo
Marielle Greup
Marielle designed the Paleo Club UU logo after taking part in the board’s Logo Contest. Her winning design became the logo we use across our website and club materials, giving Paleo Club UU an important and recognizable part of its visual identity. We are very grateful for the care and creativity she brought to the project.

Bringing palaeontology to life
Jonas Hakkens
Jonas brought his artistic and design skills to Paleo Club UU through the posters he created for our events, including the Mosasaurus poster. His paleoart gave the club’s activities a distinctive visual identity, and he also helped with the organization of the event itself. We are very grateful for the energy and creativity he shared with the club.
